THE BENAFITS
WHY CHOOSE MALAYSIA AS YOUR SECOND HOME?

There are many reasons to choose Malaysia to be your second home including the low cost of living and the high quality living environment (in fact, it is the best in the area). The average daily meal expense is not more than $6 USD. A regular two-bedroom apartment in Malaysia costs only $26,000 USD in average.
Malaysia owns an outstanding highway system which connects pretty much every state in the Western Peninsula. The distance between cities is shortened by the advanced transportation system. You can go anywhere in Malaysia without even owning a car.
If you still need more reasons to choose Malaysia as the place to retire, we have listed a few more:

  • Tropical weather all year around makes the living conditions highly enjoyable.
  • Malaysia has a superb healthcare system with excellent facilities and experienced practitioners.  Both medical expenses and insurance are much more affordable compared to other countries.
  • A phenomenal education system is in place. There are public schools, private schools, as well as a handful of international schools which especially cater to the interests of expatriates and their children.
  • Multi-leveled shopping centers selling name brand items can be found all over.  There are also many street stands where you can buy local products for very reasonable prices.
  • For those who love the sport of golf, Malaysia is home to many outstanding golf courses.  You can choose between the many competitive rates.
  • English is understood and spoken among a very large portion of the population.
  • Being in the heart of South East Asia, traveling to neighboring countries does not take very long at all.  For a small price, you can be experiencing another country…another culture.  !
  • For those that love the great outdoors, there are numerous caves to explore, mountains to climb, and other places to visit.
  • If you’re a food enthusiast, Malaysia is the place to be!  Besides serving traditional Malay food, you’ll be able to find plates that have been influenced by other cultures.  Not only will your stomach be satisfied, but your wallet will be content too since food can be found at a very cheap price.
  • Compared to other countries, crime rates are very low.  This is due to a highly efficient Royal Malaysian Police.
  • There are very low insurance rates.
  • The people are friendly and helpful.
  • So many other reasons… you will just have to come and experience it for yourself.
Everybody that comes to Malaysia has their own personal reason, whether it is for the shopping centers, the food, the golf courses, or even property investment.  No matter what the reason is, the very little money spent goes a long way.  To prove just how affordable Malaysia is, many Singaporeans will even make weekly drives to Malaysia just to go grocery shopping or visit the malls.  Also, many of the people who choose to retire here can enjoy the luxury of having all the daily chores taken care of!  You can easily hire full time cooks, housekeepers, or gardeners to take care of all your needs.  Just imagine that!
